    Under Raheja Corona Kavach Policy, an individual can opt for the Individual or Family Floater option with sum insured options of Rs. 50,000 up to 5 lakh.

    Raheja Corona Kavach Policy coverage is as follows:

    In-patient Treatment Cover -The hospitalization expenses incurred by the COVID Positive insured person would include the following:

    • Expenses incurred on road ambulance, with a maximum limit of Rs 2,000 per hospitalization
    • All Room, Boarding, Nursing expenses as presented by the Nursing Home or Hospital
    • Anesthetist, Medical Practitioner, Surgeon, Consultants or other Specialist Fees
    • Expenses incurred on PPE Kit, gloves, and mask
    • Expenses incurred on blood, oxygen, anesthesia, surgical appliances, ventilator charges, operation theatre rents, surgical appliances, ventilators, medicines, drugs and diagnostic costs
    • ICU and ICCU charges

    Pre-hospitalization Cover- Expenses incurred up to 15 days before hospitalization are covered, including the costs of the diagnostic incurred due to COVID.

    Post- hospitalization Cover- Expenses incurred up to 30 days after discharge from the hospital or end of home care treatment are covered up to sum insured.

    AYUSH Treatment Cover- Under the AYUSH classification of medicine, expenses incurred for COVID treatment (only in a government-approved health center) are covered.

    Inclusions of the Plan

    The inclusive benefits under the Raheja Corona Kavach Policy are mentioned below:

    Home Care Treatment Expenses Cover: Expenses incurred up to 14 days on the treatment of COVID at home are covered. In the Home Care benefit, the following expenses would be covered with relation to the treatment of COVID:

    • Diagnostic tests taken either at the diagnostics center or home
    • Expenses incurred on prescribed medicines and procedures
    • Consultation fees of the medical practitioner
    • Fees paid to nurses or medical staff
    • Expenses incurred on Oxygen cylinder, Pulse Oximeter and Nebulizer.

    Exclusions of the Plan

    The following ailments and conditions would be excluded from the coverage under the Raheja Corona Kavach Policy:

    • Any non-COVID or unrelated diagnostic or evaluation expenses
    • Any pre-existing COVID condition
    • Supervision care either at home or nursing facility for insured's personal care
    • Any expenses related to services for terminally ill insured
    • Dietary and organic supplements without prescription or as prescribed by a medical practitioner
    • Any unproven treatment, services and supplies
    • Day Care or OPD treatment
    • Diagnosis /Treatment outside India

    Features & Benefits of the Raheja Corona Kavach Policy

    The policy comes with the following features and benefits:

    • Comprehensive insurance coverage from Rs 50,000 up to Rs 5,00,000
    • In-patient hospitalization for treatment of Coronavirus

    • Additional cover of Hospital daily cash
    • Treatment under the AYUSH scheme
    • Expenses incurred on Homecare treatment

    Eligibility Criteria

    Any India with below eligibility can buy this policy to cover Coronavirus:

    Type

    Individual or Family Floater

    Minimum Entry Age

    18 years as a proposer

    Maximum Entry Age

    65 years as a proposer

    No limit for the proposer if he/she wants to policy for any family member, without covering himself/herself.

    Number of people covered

    On an Individual basis – Sum Insured  would apply to each family member

    On a Floater basis – Sum Insured  would apply to the entire family, including

    • Spouse
    • Own Parents and Parents-in-laws
    • Dependent children between the ages of 1 day to 25 years.
    • If the child above 18 years of age is found to be financially independent, he or she would not be eligible

    Residential Status

    All Citizens & Residents of India

    Cancellation Terms of the Policy

    The insurer can cancel the Raheja Corona Kavach Policy at any time if it comes across any incident of misrepresentation, non-disclosure of important facts, or fraud committed by the life insured. The insurer would give 7 days' written notice in this scenario, and there would be no refunds.
