To get a Vietnam work visa from India, you must request a written list of documents from your employer or sponsor that you must submit to the authorities. The authorities might request additional information based on your relevant industry and professional qualifications.

Visa Approval Document | Contact your sponsor (i.e. employer or organisation) and ask them to acquire a visa approval document issued by either one of the following competent authorities; - Immigration Department in Vietnam (Ministry of Public Security) - Consular Department - Department of External Relations of Ho Chi Minh City (Ministry of Foreign Affairs). |

The employer must apply and obtain a 'work permit' or 'written confirmation of exemption from a work permit' on your behalf. The employer has to bear the cost of the same. The application must be submitted in writing to the competent authorities 30 days before the commencement of your employment contract. It must state the 'Request for acceptance of hiring a foreign employee' by the employer. A fine will be imposed If either the employee or the employer fails to present the work permit, when requested. |

Here is a systematic process on how to apply for Vietnam Work visa from India.
Your employer or sponsor will inform you about the documents necessary for your Vietnam Work visa application procedure. You must submit all the requested documents to the Embassy/Consulate.
Request your employer or your sponsor to acquire the visa approval document issued by either one of the competent authorities, namely the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security, or the Consular Department, the Department of External Relations of Ho Chi Minh City (Ministry of Foreign Affairs). You can only apply for the visa once you have received the visa approval document.
Visit the Vietnam Work Visa Application website and select the 'Fill Form' option. Fill out the following details based on your purpose of entry, i.e., labour (work) or business, place of visa submission and collection, personal information, passport and proposed visa relevant information, etc. You must complete the application form within 15 minutes.
Once you have successfully completed the application form, submit it, pay the applicable fee, and reprint the form. Please note the application ID and code that will be required to track your application.
Collate all your documents such as the duly filled out application form and other relevant documents along with the visa approval document. Submit these documents at the selected place of submission during the application procedure, i.e. Consulate General or Vietnam Embassy in India.
Once Vietnam's mission abroad receives your valid and complete visa application along with the visa approval document by the competent authorities, the visa will ideally be issued within 5 working days.
Visit your selected collection centre i.e. either the Consulate General or Vietnam Embassy in India and present your application ID to collect your Vietnam work visa.
