      Documents Required for Permanent Registration in Telangana RTO

      Obtaining a permanent RC in Telangana is a mandatory procedure as per the Telangana Motor Vehicles rules. Every vehicle that is driven in the state, must register itself under the Telangana RTO. Following are the documents needed for the same:

      How to Renew Registration Certificate in Telangana RTO?

      The validity of a permanent registration certificate in Telangana is 15 years after which it has to be renewed every 5 years till the vehicle is found fit. Here are the steps to apply for renewal of RC in Telangana RTO:

      If the owner of the vehicle dies, or the vehicle is sold in a normal sale or public auction, it is compulsory to transfer the ownership of such vehicle to the other person’s name. Here are the documents needed for ownership transfer of a vehicle in Telangana:

      To register a vehicle in Telangana, the owner must pay specific fees to the RTO. The cost depends on the type of vehicle being registered.

      How to Pay Telangana Road Tax Online?

      The Telangana State RTO has also made it possible for vehicle owners to pay road tax online. Here is how to pay Telangana road tax online:

      Visit the official website of Telangana Transport Department 

      From the homepage, select “Online Transactions” dropdown

      From the dropdown, click on the “Tax Payment” option

      Select which tax you wish to pay

      On the next page, enter details like reg number, chassis number, tax type
