A temporary RC is valid for one month only after which you are required to get your vehicle registered permanently. Here are the documents that you need to register your vehicle permanently in Gujarat RTO:

Follow these steps to get a permanent registration certificate from Gujarat RTO:

Visit the VAHAN portal from your browser
From the "Online Services" dropdown, select the "Vehicle Related Service" option
Select Gujarat as your state and the RTO from where your vehicle has been registered
Click "Proceed"
Click on the "Pay Your Tax" button present on the next page
Enter the vehicle registration number and the last 5 digits of your chassis number
Click on Verify
Make the final payment and receive confirmation.
Non-payment of Gujarat road tax may result in a heavy penalty, which you will be required to pay over and above the actual due tax amount.
So, if you fail to pay road tax in Gujarat for three months, you will have to pay a penalty of 13% on the tax plus the actual road tax that was due.
