Policybazaar.com has been recognized as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the year 2020-21. This achievement acknowledges the company’s commitment to foster a culture of pride, trust, reliability, teamwork, and credibility amongst its employees.
The recognition follows a rigorous employee survey, done across Policybazaar's offices in Gurgaon and Mumbai, to benchmark standards of high-trust and performance culture at its workplace. The company has about 13,000 employees including its sales workforce which forms the maximum number of employees.
During the process, The Great Place to Work Institute assessed Policybazaar through two lenses: Trust Index and Culture Audit. For the Trust index employee survey, the Great Place to Work analysts measured the underlying level of trust within an organization, while making targeted recommendations on how to improve the workplace. While, in a culture audit, the implementation of best culture practices and programs of the organization were judged.

Speaking on the recognition, Chetna Gogia, Head of Human Resources, Policybazaar said that the certification is a validation that our employees have immense trust in the company practices, and are prideful of the brand.
Benefits of Great Place to Work Certification
“We are aware that we have a great culture inside the company but this certification becomes a testimony for the people outside,” she added. Gogia also said that it will help in attracting future talent because they will come to know that when we mention our best practices, it isn’t for the sake of saying, we are genuinely implementing those.
Policybazaar’s Work Culture
Work culture at Policybazaar is defined by the trust of employees in the ecosystem. “Employees take pride in their job, our practices and policies. We treat everyone equally. At the same time, camaraderie is observed as they enjoy working with their colleagues. For example, the HR organizes fun activities for the employees on Fridays, celebration of festivals, Talent Hunt and off-sites, etc to ensure fun and frolic for the employees,” she says.
Gogia said that the company has an open culture and it's not difficult to reach out to any level employee in the company.
“With such a large employee base in companies, it is difficult to meet the Chief Executive Officer. However, in our case, everybody is free and it's about approaching anyone at any time which is tough to have at such a scale,” she says.
Policybazaar inspires employees to feel that their work has more meaning than being just a job. “We recognize the efforts of the employees. We have beautiful programmes for recognition of employees such as rewards & recognition, the wall of fame, giving incentives, small token of appreciation,” she says.
“We have also started coffee sessions of Sarbvir Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Policybazaar in which he interacts with our advisors in contact centre,” she added.
Great Place to Work Institute’s methodology is recognized as rigorous and objective and is considered as the 'Gold Standard' for defining great workplaces across businesses, academia, and government organizations.
