Design:
- Duke 390 looks exactly like Duke 200 with different graphics & orange rims.
- The graphics have more shades of orange & the motorcycle looks absolutely aggressive in styling.
- The bike comes in two colours white & black.
- Bike’s dimensions are 2002 mm x 873 mm x 1267 mm (L x W x H)
Power & Performance:
Duke 390 is powered by a 373.2cc single cylinder engine. It is geared tall. The power is evenly spread out on the torque band. With 43 horses on tap & a curb weight of less than 150Kg this bike goes like a missile whenever you open the throttle. It is absolutely hoot to ride. This much power ensures that you shoot off in front of traffic at every red light & before you know it you are crossing the speed limits.

Braking & Handling:
Duke 390 handles sharply. Its lightweight & trellis frame give you the confidence in whatever you are doing, be it cutting through the city traffic or attacking the corners. Much of this confidence comes due to its tyres. Duke 390 rides on Germany made Metzeler tyres 110/70 17’ tyre in front & 150/60 17’ tyre which offer exceptional grip in both dry & wet conditions. They are made of soft compound which doesn’t need to get heated to offer grip.
- The seat on Duke 390 is short & hard just like Duke 200 which means for longer your butt will start hurting or you can opt for aftermarket gel seat.
- Duke 390 gets a 300mm disc brake in front & a single 230mm disc at the rear.
- The bike gets Bosch 9M dual channel ABS system as standard.
What Insurance cover to opt for:
Duke 390 is internationally a budget bike. However, in India at 2.2 lac on road it is still a costly deal & a proper insurance cover will ensure you have complete peace of mind during the ownership.
- Value of plastics depreciates a lot. 0% depreciation insurance goes a long way in keeping the repair bills down in case of a fall.
- Duke 390 is prone to theft. That is why it is a good idea to have an insurance that gives you complete cover from theft.
- Always prefer an insurance that gives you cashless benefit.
