One may apply for this yojana by visiting the official website of the Social Welfare Department (SWD). The Viklang Pension Yojana is one of the best pension plan and essential for the individual with a disability who has no source of income to meet the financial requirement. Hence, people with disability must apply for this scheme.Â
A person is required to fulfill the following criteria in order to apply for the pension yojana.
He must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. In order to substantiate this criterion, he may produce the birth certificate or Aadhaar card, or any other document he deems fit to prove his residence.
The age of the applicant must be 18 years or more. In addition, the applicant must possess 40 percent or more disability to apply for the Viklang Pension Yojana.Â
The annual income of the individual should be INR 46,080 or less in a rural area or INR 56,460 in an urban area.
However, an individual satisfying the 40 percent disability but receiving any other pension is not eligible to apply for the Viklang Pension Yojana. In addition, if the disabled person is an owner of a three or four-wheeler, he is not entitled to get benefits from this pension yojana. Furthermore, a person working in the government sector cannot be covered under the Viklang Pension Yojana.Â
An applicant must have the following documents in order to apply for pension yojana.
The beneficiary is required to produce his disability certificate while applying for the Divyang Pension Yojana. The certificate must be issued by the physician or health center. However, a private practitioner may also give a certificate of disability. Nevertheless, if the person is suffering from mental depression, a hearing impaired disability, or any other intangible disability, he needs to get the certificate issued by Ram Manohar Lohia Joint Hospital situated in Lucknow. Certificates issued from other hospitals in case of intangible disability will not be accepted.
The income certificate can be issued by an MLA, MP, Mayor, Chairman of Panchayat, Tehsildar, etc.
In order to substantiate his age, the individual may furnish or provide the birth certificate or the certificate he received after passing class 10th.
The applicant can submit the passbook of any bank.
The applicant may provide Voter ID, Ration card, or Aadhaar card for identity proof.
The applicant may upload a color passport-size photograph of up to 20 KB.
One may apply for the Viklang Pension Yojana by visiting the official home page of the government and filling in the following details.
The applicant is required to fill in his district along with his residential status (Rural or Urban) and Tehsil.Â
In the next step, he may fill his name according to his Aadhaar card. Later, he is expected to fill in his gender, date of birth, father or husband's name in case of the female applicant, category (General, minority, SC, ST, and OBC), mobile number, and complete address.Â
Upon completing personal details, the applicant may move toward bank details, which include the name of the bank and the branch, account number, and IFSC code.
Later, the source of income needs to be filled. The applicant may enter the income application number along with the income certificate number. The income certificate is required to substantiate that his income falls under the eligibility criteria.Â
Next, the applicant may select the type of disability he has along with the disability percentage and disability certificate number. The disability percentage must not be less than 40 per cent to receive the Viklang pension. In addition, the issue date of the disability certificate needs to be filled in along with the unique Divyang ID.Â
Now, after filling up the aforementioned details, the applicant is required to upload the necessary documents, such as a passport-size color photograph, which should be at most 20KB, an age certificate and a disability certificate, which should be a maximum of 200 KB.
At last, he is required to sign the declaration that the details described above provided by him are true and accurate to the best of his knowledge. Then, he needs to enter the captcha in order to sign the declaration and submit the form.Â
An individual may check the application status by logging in to the account created while filling out the registration form. The applicant is required to fill in the scheme name, application registration number, and bank account number. In addition, he is also required to enter the captcha after filling up the details. Once done, he may click on submit and track the application status.Â
The Viklang Pension Yojana was launched by the government of UP in the year 2016 in order to ease the living standard of a person with a disability. People with disability are a vulnerable group who face various difficulties in securing a private job. Hence, it is the duty of the state and central government to bring efficient and practical schemes for such people. The Viklang Pension Yojana meets the requirement by providing INR 1,000 to the person with a disability.
