To download the UMANG app, you can follow these steps:
Open the app store on your mobile device. If you have an Android device, open the Google Play Store. If you have an iPhone or iPad, open the App Store.
In the search bar at the top of the app store, type "UMANG" and tap the search button.
Look for the official UMANG app in the search results. It should have the UMANG logo and be published by the "Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India."
Wait for the app to download and install on your device. The time it takes may vary depending on your internet connection speed.
Once the installation is complete, you will find the UMANG app on your device's home screen or in the app drawer.
Tap on the UMANG app icon to open it. You may need to create an account or provide your mobile number to log in to the app.
To register and set up the UMANG app using your mobile number, please follow these steps:
Download the UMANG app from your smartphone's app store.
Open the app and select "English (UK)" as your preferred language.
Read and accept the terms and conditions.
Launch the app and click on ‘New User’.
In the 'Registration' section, enter your mobile number and select 'Proceed'. You will be directed to the screen to verify your mobile number.
Enter your mobile number and verify it with the OTP sent to you.
Set up a 4-digit security PIN.
Provide personal details like name, gender, date of birth, and email address.
Create a unique username and password.
Complete the registration by reviewing and submitting your details.
Explore the app and its services.
They will be able to access the app by using their Aadhaar number.
The provided information will be utilized for E-KYC objectives.
When creating a profile, the Aadhaar details are automatically transferred to the UMANG profile.

Step 3: You can also link your Aadhaar number to the app and other social media handles.
Step 4: To access a particular service, tap its icon or name. For example, if you want to access Aadhaar services, tap on the "Aadhaar" icon.
Step 5: Depending on the service you choose, you may need to provide your details, such as your Aadhaar number, PAN number, or other relevant information. Make sure you have the required documents or details handy.
To withdraw EPF using the UMANG app, follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the UMANG app from your app store.
Step 2:Open the app and navigate to the search menu. Look for "EPFO" and select it.
Step 3: In the EPFO section, choose "Employee Centric'' and click "Raise Claim." Enter your EPF UAN number when prompted.
Step 4: After entering your UAN number, you will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered phone number. Enter the OTP in the app. Then, select the type of withdrawal you want to make and submit the claim through the UMANG app.
Step 5: A reference number will be generated and sent to you once the claim is submitted. This reference number can be used to track the status of your claim.
