The State Technical Scholarship for ST Students is a scholarship scheme implemented by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Nagaland. This scheme provides financial assistance to Scheduled Tribe students pursuing Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate, or Forestry courses in institutions recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The scholarship aims to support ST students in their technical education and encourage them to pursue higher studies and careers in technical fields.

Financial Assistance: The scheme provides financial aid to students based on their chosen course. This helps alleviate the financial burden of pursuing technical education.
Duration of Scholarship: The scholarship duration varies depending on the program:
Up to 3 years for Diploma programs.
Up to 4 years for Degree programs (B.E/B.Tech.).
Up to 2 years for Masters programs (M.E/M.Tech.).

To be eligible for the State Technical Scholarship for ST Student Scheme, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
Domicile: The applicant must be a resident of Nagaland.
Community: The applicant must belong to a Scheduled Tribe community.
Income Limit: The annual income of the applicant's parents from all sources should not exceed â‚ą6 lakhs.
Course Eligibility:
Diploma
Degree
Post-graduate courses in Engineering
Undergraduate or Postgraduate courses in Forestry
Employment Status: The applicant should not be employed by any government or semi-government organization.
Important Notes:
Applicants pursuing courses other than those mentioned in points 4 and 5 are not eligible.
If any false information is found or if an applicant avails multiple scholarships in the same academic year, they will be disqualified and debarred from the scheme.

Registration:
Visit the Common Scholarship Portal: https://scholarship.nagaland.gov.in/
If you're new, click "Register" and provide your Aadhaar-linked mobile number for verification.
Create an account with your details and password.
Login: Use the credentials you created to log in.
Fill Profile: Update personal information, including bank details.
Apply for Scholarship:
Choose "State Technical Scholarship for ST Student Scheme."
Select your institution details (state, district, etc.)
Provide academic details (school/college, course, year)
Upload Documents:
Upload required documents (specific documents will be listed on the portal).
Verify and Submit:
Carefully review all information and uploads for accuracy.
Submit the application.
Track Application:
Use the portal to track your application status: https://scholarship.nagaland.gov.in/
Locate a CSC: Contact the helpline number for the nearest center.
Visit the CSC: Inform the staff about applying for the scholarship.
Provide Information: Give the staff your documents and details.
CSC Assistance: The staff will guide you, fill out the forms, and submit the application on your behalf.

Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
Corrections cannot be made after submission.

Important Notes:
The bank account must be in the applicant's name. Joint accounts are allowed only if the applicant's name appears first on the passbook.
Providing false certificates regarding annual income, ST status, or indigenous status may lead to legal action.
