PNB MetLife Claim Settlement Process 

PNB MetLife offers a quick and hassle-free claim settlement process. Under the term insurance policies presented by the insurance company, you can request to file a claim either offline or online. The insurance company has achieved a claim settlement ratio of 98.17% in the financial year 2020-21 which indicates the fast claim settlement. The higher the CSR, the better the insurer is. PNB MetLife offers the easiest claim settlement process to every policyholder and their loved ones. 

Steps Involved in PNB MetLife Insurance Claim Process 

PNB MetLife Claim Process is mainly comprising of just 3 easy steps: 

  1. Step1: Apply for your claim 

    • File claim Online: The claimant/nominee can file the claim online at the official website of PNB MetLife official by clicking on the tab ‘Claims’ present on the home screen page and then selecting ‘Claim process’. Fill in all the required details such as the name of the policyholder, policy number, name of claimant, and birth date to complete the process of claim intimation. 

    • You can also file claim intimation by mail i.e., at claimshelpdesk@pnbmetlife.com 

    • Inform the company about the claim in a written form through post. 

    • You can also intimate about the claim by Khushi app that is PNB’s self-service mobile application. You can download it for android and iOS

  2. Step2: Submit your Important Documents 

    After the intimation of the claim, a claimant is requested to submit the required documents for the claim evaluation and assessment process. However, in case of further investigation, additional documents are required, you will have to provide them as well. 

  3. Step3: Claim Your Payout 

    • Document Receipt: Once your documents are received by the insurer, you will be informed. PNB MetLife will then start the claims decision procedure. 

    • Assessment: After receiving the documents, the insurer will process your claim within 30 days from receiving the receipt of documents in all cases where further claim examination is not needed. 

    • Investigation: In case of discrepancies in your details and forms, further investigation is needed to investigate the claim. In such scenarios, the investigation will be completed within 90 days from receiving the receipt of the documents. 

    • Claim Decision: The claim settlement decision shall be made within a month i.e., 30 days from completion of the investigation and assessment. Then, they will start the payout process. 

Documents Required for PNB MetLife Life Insurance claim process

Following is the list of documents required for the PNB MetLife Claim Settlement process: 

  • Claim application form 

  • Death certificate copy issued by the local municipal authority 

  • Original policy documents 

  • Certificate signed by treating doctor preferably in the format of PNB MetLife 

  • Photo ID proof of Claimant 

  • Address proof of claimant 

  • Cancelled cheque copy 

  • Bank passbook copy 

  • Authorization letter from the claimant in case the claim reporting form is received by the third party 

  • Succession certificate/legal heir certificate in case of absence of nominee 

Additional documents are required in case of Critical Illness/ Natural death:

  • Attested Medical Records 

  • Admission notes 

  • Discharge/Death Summary reports 

  • Test investigation reports 

  • In case of Accidental Death claims 

All documents of natural death claim 

  • Copy of Panchnama/FIR 

  • Copy of Inquest Report 

  • Copy of Post Mortem Report
