New customers must sign-up on the company's official website.
To sign up, customers need to click on the person icon on the Edelweiss Life insurance website's top right corner and choose 'customer login'.
On the following screen, the customer needs to click sign up and enter the first name, last name, email Id, mobile number and date of birth and solve the reCaptcha question, and click on submit.
Existing policyholders need to click on the person icon on the top right corner of the Edelweiss Life insurance website and choose 'customer login'.
Enter their username and password, and if the credentials match, they would be able to access the information about their policies.
The customer needs to call customer service on 1800 2121 212. Customer Service is available on all days between 9.00 AM and 9.00 PM.
The customer needs to click on the forgot password option and enter email ID and Date of Birth and click on submit.
A password reset link would be sent to the customer's email ID through which the customer can reset the password and log in to find the policy status.
The policyholders will have to follow the steps mentioned below to check their Edelweiss Life Insurance Policy Status on Policybazaar:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Policybazaar Brokers Private Limited. On the top right, click on the ‘Sign in’ tab.
Step 2: Enter your registered phone number and the OTP received on the same.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the dashboard. Choose the policy tab, here you can check the status of all the insurance policies you have.
The policyholders can visit the Edelweiss Life insurance office and procure the information directly from the customer care representative. Policy renewal can be done online by visiting the e-portal. You need to log in to the e-portal with your login and password and choose the direct debit options to renew your policy. To renew your policy offline, you may visit any branch office. You may also speak to a customer care representative on the phone regarding your policy renewal.
A7. You must submit the claim form and the policy documents at any of your local branch offices for the claim settlement process. Once the documents are received and verified, it takes around 30 days for the settlement of claims. Claims are settled through NEFT mode.
A8. Yes. You may check the grace period by logging into the e-portal with your correct login credentials. A policy lapses when the policyholder does not pay the premium even within the grace period. A lapsed policy loses all the benefits. However, the policyholder has an opportunity to revive the policy within the predetermined time to be eligible for all the benefits once again.
A9. If you are unhappy with the insurance plan, you need to fill a surrender form and submit it to any of the Edelweiss local branch offices. A cancellation fee will be charged. In about ten days, the policy surrender process will get complete. The refund of the premium paid amount will be calculated based on the current market price. It will be transferred to your bank account.
