      Documents Required for Zurich Kotak Car Insurance Claim

      While claiming Kotak car insurance, the policyholder is required to provide a few documents to the insurer. Here is the list of all the documents required at the time of initiation of the car insurance claim process.

      • Copy of original motor insurance policy
      • Kotak car insurance claim form
      • Copy of registration certificate of the damaged vehicle
      • Copy of driving licence
      • First information report (FIR) in a few cases
      • Repair bill (In case of reimbursement)
      • Any valid Identification proof

      Types of Zurich Kotak (formerly known as Kotak) Car Insurance Claim Process

      Zurich Kotak Car Insurance claim process can be availed both by reimbursement and cashless claim settlement process.

      1. Cashless Claim Settlement

        Under a cashless claim settlement, the policyholder can get the insured vehicle repaired in an authorised network garage of the insurance provider. The insurer then settles such a claim directly with the cashless garage. Thus, you are not required to pay for repairs from your pocket.

      2. Reimbursement Claim Settlement

        A reimbursement claim process refers to a claim when the policyholder gets the insured car repaired in a non-network garage. Under this claim settlement, the insurer reimburses the claim amount after the repairs have been completed. Thus, at first, you will be required to pay for repairs from your pocket, and the insurer will reimburse you later.

      How to File a Zurich Kotak Car Insurance Claim?

      Here is how you can raise a car insurance claim under car insurance by Zurich Kotak:

      Accidental Claims

      • Kotak Motor Claim Intimation: Contact Zurich Kotak Car Insurance immediately after an accident by calling the toll-free number.
      • Damage Survey: An inspection of the damage will be arranged within 24 hours.
      • Submit Documents: Submit all the necessary documents required for your claim to be verified.
      • Claim Settlement: The damage will be repaired at any nearby network garage, and the claim will be settled. For reimbursement claims, the insurer will reimburse you the claim amount after the repairs.

      Third Party Claims

      • Register an FIR in a nearby police station for any third-party-related damage. Also, inform the insurer about the damages.
      • The insurer will then forward the claim to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal which will look into the claim.
      • The Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal will decide the compensation to be paid to the third party.
      • The insurer will then pay the claim amount to the third party, and the claim will be settled.
      • The process will be the same if your car has been damaged because of a third party.
