How Does Digit Group Health Insurance Work?
A company, whether an SME or a large organisation, opts for a Group Insurance Scheme to provide coverage to its employees. The premium amount is either paid by only the employer or by both the employee and employer. The insured and their dependents, such as a spouse, kids, etc,. get coverage for hospitalisation and medical expenses.
Since the employer purchased the Group Health Insurance plan for the employees, the sum insured and the plan opted by the employer will be the same for all the employees. The employees can also choose to add any of their dependents, such as their spouse, kids, or parents, by paying an additional premium
