Steps to Check the Ayushman Bharat Card Status Online

If you have applied for the PMJAY health insurance scheme, you can easily check your Ayushman card status online via either the PMJAY- Beneficiary website or the Ayushman app. Take a look at the procedure to check the Ayushman card status from both methods below:

      1. Through the PMJAY-Beneficiary Portal:

Following are the steps to check the Ayushman Bharat card status through the official beneficiary website of PMJAY:

Step 1: Go to the official PMJAY-Beneficiary portal and log in as 'Beneficiary'.

Step 2: Enter the captcha code & mobile number, and click on 'Verify'. An OTP will be sent to your mobile.

Step 3: Fill in the OTP you received, enter another captcha code, and click the 'Login' button.

Step 4: Choose your State, District, Sub-scheme, and preferred identification method under the 'Search By' option.

Step 5: Find your name in the displayed list, and check your PMJAY card status under the 'Card Status' column.

      2. Through the Ayushman App:

The Ayushman app can also help you to check the status of your Ayushman Bharat card online by following the steps listed below:

Step 1: Open the Ayushman app after downloading it.

Step 2: Enter your details to log in to the app as a beneficiary.

Step 3: Once logged in, click on the option to search for beneficiaries.

Step 4: Select your state, the scheme name, and identification options, such as PMJAY ID, Family ID, or Aadhaar number. For more convenience, you can choose to proceed using your Aadhaar number.

Step 5: A list of Ayushman Bharat cards linked to your Aadhaar number will appear on the screen, along with their current status.

      Ayushman Bharat Card Status Categories

There are different categories for different status of a PMJAY card. When checking the card status, you will see one of the following categories next to your name on the Ayushman card portal:

      • Approved - The ‘Approved' status means your application has been successfully verified and approved by the relevant authority.
      • Pending - A ‘Pending' status indicates that your verification is still in progress, and the final decision may take some time.
      • Not Generated - If the status is marked as ‘Not Generated', it means you will need to apply for the Ayushman card to access the benefits of the PMJAY scheme.

What if Your Ayushman Bharat Card is Not Approved?

If your Ayushman Bharat card is not approved or you need an Ayushman card correction, you will have to complete your e-KYC again. Check out the steps to complete your e-KYC again:

Step 1: Click on the ‘Action' button next to the card that does not show the approved status.

Step 2: Now, go to the 'Redo e-KYC' tab.

Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number, upload a recent passport-size photograph, and fill in other required information, such as your mobile number, Date of Birth (DOB), district, etc.

Step 4: If you want an Ayushman card update by adding a new family member to the PMJAY or Ayushman Bharat Yojana beneficiary list, click on the 'Add Family Member' tab.

Step 5: Hit the 'Submit' button to complete the e-KYC.

Step 6: Once submitted, your card will be processed for approval, and you can check the status after a while.

If your Ayushman Bharat Card is not approved, you can still buy private health insurance at affordable premiums to ensure comprehensive coverage for your medical needs.
