    Eligibility Criteria

    • Policy Coverage - Individual/ Floater basis
    • Age Restriction for Adults - 18 to 65 years
    • Age Restriction for Dependent Children - 1 day to 25 years
    • People Covered Under the Floater Plan - Legally wedded spouse, parents, dependent children and parents-in-law
    • Sum Insured - Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh
    • Policy Term - 5 months, 6.5 months and 9.5 months
    • Waiting Period - First 15 days from the policy start date

    Inclusions of Bharti AXA Health Insurance Corona Kavach Policy 

    A Bharti AXA Health Insurance Corona Kavach policy provides coverage for the following: 

    COVID Hospitalization Expenses:

    • It covers in-patient hospitalization expenses incurred for the treatment of COVID-19.
    • It pays for the cost of items, such as PPE kits, ventilator, masks, gloves, etc.
    • This cover can be availed only if the insured is hospitalized for at least 24 consecutive hours.

    Ambulance Charges:

    • It covers the expenses incurred on road ambulance service for up to Rs 2000 per hospitalization.

    Home Care Treatment Expenses:

    • It covers the cost of receiving COVID-19 treatment at home for up to a maximum of 14 days.
    • It includes the cost of diagnostic tests, medicines, nursing charges, oxygen cylinder, oximeter, etc.
    • This cover can be availed only if the COVID-19 home treatment has been advised by a doctor.

    Pre & Post Hospitalization:

    • It covers medical expenses incurred for up to 15 days before hospitalization or home care treatment for COVID-19.
    • It covers any medical expenses incurred for up to 30 days after getting discharged from hospital or home care treatment.

    AYUSH Treatment:

    • It covers any medical expenses incurred on the COVID-19 treatment through medicines under Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy and Naturopathy.
    • The diagnostic test for COVID-19 should be conducted by a government-authorized diagnostic center.

    Hospital Daily Cash:

    • This optional cover provides a daily allowance of 0.5 per cent of the sum insured for each day of hospitalization.
    • It is available for a maximum of 15 days of hospitalization.

    Exclusions of Bharti AXA Health Insurance Corona Kavach Policy 

    Here are the exclusions under Bharti AXA Health Insurance Corona Kavach policy:

    • Cost of hospitalization for evaluation or diagnostic purposes
    • Expenses incurred on dietary supplements available without a doctor’s prescription
    • Cost of diagnostic tests that are not related to the treatment of COVID-19
    • Medical expenses incurred primarily to ensure bed rest or rehabilitation
    • Any expenses incurred on unproven treatment of COVID-19
    • Cost of diagnostic tests conducted at a non-government authorized diagnostic test
    • Expenses incurred on daycare or OPD treatment
    • Any COVID-19 treatment expenses incurred outside India

    Bharti AXA Health Insurance Corona Kavach Policy Claim Process

    Cashless Claim:

    • Get admitted for COVID-19 treatment at a network hospital of Bharti AXA Health Insurance Company
    • Send the filled in cashless request form, available at the hospital, to the insurer
    • After verification, the insurer will send a pre-authorization letter to the hospital
    • At the time of discharge, sign the discharge papers and pay for any inadmissible expenses

    Reimbursement Claim:

    • Notify the insurer about your planned hospitalization at least 48 hours before getting admitted and about emergency hospitalization & home care treatment within 24 hours
    • Send the required documents to the insurer within 30 days of getting discharged in case of hospitalization/ pre-hospitalization/ home care treatment and within 15 days of completing post-hospitalization treatment
    • The insurer will inform about accepting or rejecting the claim

    l Invoice or sticker of implants, if any

    l Original hospital bill with the item-wise break-up

    l Receipts of bill payment

    l Discharge summary with patient’s medical history

    l Policyholder’s NEFT details

    l KYC details for claims above Rs 1 lakh

    l Legal heir/ succession certificate

    l Duly signed Bharti AXA Corona Kavach claim form
