Nippon India Mutual Fund, formerly known as Reliance Mutual Fund, is a prominent asset management company in India. The fund is managed by Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited (NAM India), with Nippon Life Insurance Company as the sponsor.
Established in June 1995 as Reliance Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund was earlier a joint venture between Reliance Capital and Nippon Life Insurance Company of Japan. In October 2019, Nippon acquired Reliance's stake, leading to the renaming of the fund as Nippon India Mutual Fund.
