1. About Group Health Insurance

As the name suggests, comprehensive group health insurance usually covers a broader range of medical emergencies than what is provided in a basic plan. The network of hospitals is the list of hospitals the insurance company has tie-up with for cashless hospitalization. During a medical emergency, a person would prefer that the treatment is carried out in a hospital which offers the best services with expert doctors.

Thus, it is vital to ensure that the hospitals mentioned offer good facilities, cover various treatments, have availability of expert doctors and provide decent services. Many organizations extend the group health benefits to the employee’s dependents too. You, as an employee, can add your spouse and children to the employer’s group health insurance.
