Massive Fire Destroys Liquor Store in Faridabad's BP TP Area
Faridabad: A major fire caused extensive damage to a liquor store in the BP TP area of Faridabad, Hary 2024. Six firebrigade vehicles and 25 personnel were deployed to extinguish the flames. The liquor store was completely destroyed in the incident. Providing an update, Fire Officer Sunil Verma stated that the fire has largely been brought under control, although the exact extent of the damage is still being assessed. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation will be conducted.

Efforts to Extinguish the Fire
The fire broke out around 11:00 a.m. on 17 October in the BP TP area of Faridabad. Fire Officer Sunil Verma reported that upon receiving the alert, six fire brigade vehicles were dispatched, with two from Sector 15, one from NIT, one from IMT, and two from Sector 25. According to him, the fire has been mostly managed.
Temporary Structure and Damage Assessment
Speaking to Local 18, Sunil Verma also noted that the building involved was a temporary structure. Burnt sections are being removed with the help of a crane, and efforts to control any remaining hotspots are ongoing. The exact assessment of the damage has not yet been completed, as many items are still buried under the leftovers.
